Page Six reported that a spokesperson for Massachusetts businessman Andrew Cabot said the two had been amicably separated weeks before his wife, human resources director Kristin Cabot , was seen on “kiss cam” in the arms of Astronomer CEO Andy Byron at a Coldplay concert in July.

Footage shows the pair awkwardly hugging and then awkwardly covering their faces when they discover they are being projected onto the big screen, prompting Coldplay frontman Chris Martin to joke: “Either they’re dating or they’re extremely shy.” The clip quickly went viral on social media.

“Their decision to divorce was made earlier that day. Now that the divorce filing is public, Massachusetts Andrew Cabot hopes this will put an end to the speculation and give his family privacy,” said Massachusetts spokesman Andrew Cabot.

Massachusetts Andrew Cabot (61 years old) is currently the CEO of the Privateer Rum brand. He has 2 children from a previous marriage, but does not have any children with Kristin Cabot.

So far, neither Kristin Cabot nor Andy Byron have spoken publicly about their relationship. According to NBC News , Kristin Cabot filed for divorce in New Hampshire in August.

The “kiss cam” incident quickly became a topic of memes and ridicule on social networks and caused both characters’ private lives to be exposed, as many people arbitrarily shared their family’s personal information.

The case also sparked much debate about privacy in the digital age, and what line should be drawn to make an individual publicly available.

Both Kristin Cabot and Andy Byron then resigned from Astronomer .

Previously, in the press release announcing Kristin Cabot’s joining Astronomer in November, Andy Byron himself praised her as “an outstanding leader with deep expertise in human resources management, team engagement and human resources strategy development – key factors for the company’s rapid growth”.

When Andy Byron resigned, interim CEO Pete DeJoy acknowledged the public uproar: “The media attention in recent days has been on a level that few companies – especially a start-up in the data and AI field like ours – have ever faced. Although we did not want it to happen this way, Astronomer is now a household name.”
